Discourse HaShem Echad - (the) LORD (is) One
Shma (Hear O) Israel is the greatest cry of faith of the Jewish people. This is also a great cry of faith for all sensible peoples, for our greatest declaration of faith for all peoples is especially that the LORD ALMIGHTY is ONE, specially and uniquely one and not two or three. This is our most important message to the world at large. He is unique in and outside of our own world and there is none to compare to Him, and He has no essential competition, only the deluded false religious beliefs of unfortunate people who have been led astray to believe in other gods, which have in reality never existed at all. For the Almighty is behind all of the greatness and secrets of this world and this entire universe. This is our greatest statement of faith to all humankind, that the Almighty has never had another to compete or to compare to His Greatness, and He has always been the Source of all that has ever been created, and there is no other innate existence other than His essential existence. Our message towards all peoples of this world constitutes especially two words from this message of faith: (The) LORD (is) One.
This is all other peoples of this world have heard (except for very few other individuals who have miraculously or exceptionally heard more, and who have therefore been more drawn towards that faith of Israel), for the rest has remained exclusively for us and for our private orientation, that is: Hear O Israel, the LORD our Almighty... He is that one alone whom we claim to know the best, that He is entirely and essentially one, and He is the only one who exists as the subject of His own being. And we know that these statements are true for we repeat them every day and every night as we are commanded to do, and also when we die; for especially when we are dying this should be close to our lips. And now is the time so to speak when we are close to death, for we are caught up more than ever before in the messes of the evils of this world until the full fifty levels have overtaken our lives like a flood, and there is essentially no more hope in this world except that some of us still remain with the Holy Torah and His essential identification in our faith, with no other predicate except that of the Holy Torah which we and we alone received from Moses our teacher years ago in the desert of Sinai.
Together we believed at that time and together we believe at this time that He constitutes the only essential existence, and therefore this is our greatest hope to believe that He is my fortress and my entire belief, for there is no more essential belief but this according to our Torah from Moses our Teacher: that we are His flock precisely for this reason, for we His people believe in and honor His Oneness and praise Him in this respect more than any other people. This is our honor because it is His honor, the honor of the Almighty. What the son does most correctly is what he sees with respect to his father. This is the most important role of a people on planet Earth, for we have the deepest kind of connection with the Almighty personally. Therefore when politics becomes intertwined with the faith of Israel, this state of affairs produces our greatest downfall.
